Will Ferrell Retires from Sports Spoofs

At a charity golf tournament Will Ferrell was quoted as saying: “I will no longer attempt to do any sports movie, anymore. Any sports.” Later he mentioned, “Yeah, I'm retired from sports-genre films. You know, I think I filled my quota." It seems like he's done every sport there was, but some of the more obscure ones didn't involve him at all - look at Balls of Fury or Bad News Bears. However, his recent streak of four sports spoofs in three years tired many fans (Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory, Kicking and Screaming and Semi-Pro) - evident from the poor theater performance of Semi-Pro.

Based on these photos from Sports Illustrated with Heidi Klum, however, Ferrell's still got it going on.
